The Metropolis Cover Page contest began with Turtel Onli, an Instructor at Kenwood Academy, contributing to the Metropolis’ activity & cartoon page. This partnership developed into a Cover Page Design Contest with selected students at Kenwood which is Metropolis Editor Leila Khaled’s former high school. A full Graphic Design Internship is now in development.

While all of the submissions are excellent, a special congratulations goes to contest winner Lake C. Smith! Lake is a senior and plans to attend University of Illinois in Chicago.

Winner!

“Mentors have a connection with their mentees in which they search for answers to many questions they both have. As mentors search for answers, I invite you to search my artwork for the qualities a male mentor may possess.” Lake C. Smith
